Lemongrass Pure Essential Oil is invigorating, energising and clears the air.

Important information regarding your candles from Emma’s So Naturals.

• Trim your wick, the first time & every time you light the candle. Trim the wick to 5mm or ¼ inch with a scissors or wick trimming tool and remove the debris. Not trimming the candle wick can result in problems, such as black smoke or soot; it can cause the wick to fall over into the melted wax making it hard to re-light; it can cause a high flame that’s too big and might become dangerous.
• Trimming the wick too short can make it hard to re-light. If this does happen, try to light the wick for as long as it will stay lit and then carefully pour off the melted wax into a safe bin or container to dispose of. Repeat until the wick is long enough to stay lighting by itself.
• Never burn candles for more than 4 hours.
• The first time, allow the wax pool to melt close to the container edge to ensure a consistent burn pool as the candle burns down.
• Emma’s So Naturals use 100% soy wax with no wax additives for a cleaner burn. Natural wax behaves differently to paraffin wax in that it is longer burning and renewable, but it can vary in appearances and may be affected by temperatures in that it could shrink away from the container edge in spots or completely in cool weather and it may sweat or soften in warm temperatures.
• Emma’s So Naturals use only pure essential oils. Pure essential oils give a naturally delicate fragrance. This is the main reason we use pure essential oils in our collection, so as not to overpower the user with strong, synthetic perfume. Pure essential oils do contain allergens, which are listed in the Safety Data label at the bottom of the container, along with pictogram instructions for use. Never remove this label!
• Emma’s So Naturals encourage the re-use and recycling of your candle glasses and tins. It is for this reason that we don’t glue the metal wick sustainer to the bottom of the containers, as this makes it harder to clean out and to re-use or recycle them. As a result, the metal wick sustainer may move slightly out of the centre as the candle burns down. To remedy this, centre the wick after blowing the candle out, allow the wax to cool and reharden and then trim the wick, as usual, before the next use.

Burning & safety instructions for candle use:

• Trim wick to 5mm before use.
• Keep candle free of foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings.
• Always burn candles within sight, in a well-ventilated room, on a level, fire resistant surface and away from drafts, vibrations, children and animals.
• Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
• Due to high content of natural essential oils, and fluctuating storage temperatures, occasionally some oils may leak to the top of the candle. Simply wipe these away and enjoy your candle as normal.
• Avoid skin contact with pure essential oils.

• Shelf Life:

  Generally, it is recommended that you use your candle within 12 to 18 months, once you open it from its original packaging, especially if it is a natural plant wax, however you can expect a stable and attractive shelf life of around 3 years if stored correctly. Essential oils themselves can have a shelf life of up to 15 years when unopened, however, oxidisation and deterioration of their fragrance can begin as soon as opened. Store your candles in a cool dark place when not in use. Store out of direct sunlight.
